Assess your skills
in eight key leadership abilities and discover how to
become a more effective leader.
There is no one skill that will make you an effective
leader. Effective leadership is composed of a number
of different competencies, or puzzle pieces. If all
the pieces of the puzzle are not in place the effectiveness
of the leader will be limited. This self-assessment
helps you determine your strengths and development needs
in eight core competencies that will help you become
a more effective leader. It includes interpretative
information and tips on how you can further develop
your skills in each of the following key areas:
Contextual thinking, Creative assimilation, People enablement,
Reciprocal communication, Directional clarity, Change
orchestration, Driving persistence, Emotional intelligence
An action plan is included to help you plan what actions
you will take to develop your leadership skills starting
with your three lowest scoring categories. Because the
Leadership Effectiveness Profile is linked to a number
of other Self Discovery assessments there is an opportunity
to drill down even further and look more closely at
the competencies that contribute to effective leadership.
How this instrument is scored
This instrument measures an individual's competencies
using 12 questions in each category and is scored on
a 5 point Likert scale ranging from Almost Never to
Almost Always. Scores for each competency are plotted
onto a spider diagram (providing a quick visual representation
of the leader's scores). From this an overall "Leadership
Effectiveness" score is derived. The assessment
provides simple interpretative data on what impact high
or low scores in a specific area may have and some suggested
development activities.
This assessment is primarily designed as a self-assessment
by purchasing extra copies (one for each respondent)
it can be used for 180 or 360-degree feedback. An online
version is also available which provides automated scoring
and a comprehensive output report. Please contact us
for more information.
