Case Studies
China Light & Power (Hong Kong)
| Mandate: |
China Light & Power is the
leading utility provider in Hong Kong. It had an on-going
mentoring program which was semi-formal. For better effectiveness,
the program needed to be modified. |
| Solution: |
Since 2005, we had separately
helped three different units to set up a more structured
mentoring program that included measurements, matching
and training. All potential mentors and mentees were put
through the role of mentor and mentee training respectively.
In addition, we facilitated an orientation for the mentors
and mentees in which the DISC assessment was administered
as a mean to help the mentoring pairs understand each
other better. Evaluations were collected mid-way and towards
the end of the program. |
| Outcome: |
The latest evaluations at all three units
indicated that over 96% of the participants had agreed
that the program had been successful.
