Visiting Consultants
Dr. Peng Chan Dr. Chan is a certified professional
management consultant. He has over 15 years of consulting experience
and has advised and trained CEOs, business owners, executives
and managers from hundreds of corporations around the world.
His areas of expertise include: strategic planning and
implementation; franchising and franchise development; global
marketing strategies; supply chain management; reengineering
and change management; e-commerce start-up and management; human
resource management; knowledge management; leadership training
and customer service management.
He has also written 2 books, "Franchising: Case
Studies" and "Studi Banding Bisnis
Waralaba" (in the Indonesian language). His latest
book, "Doing Business in Post-WTO China",
is in the process of completion.
Experience
Dr. Chan is recognized as
a pioneer and leading authority on strategy
and franchising in the Asia-Pacific region.
He is the first person to speak on strategy
and franchising in China and many other Asian
countries. He has restructured and reengineered
many organizations in order to make them more
competitive and profitable. He has also helped
the formation of franchise organizations throughout
Asia.
His clients range from conglomerates to small businesses and
come from diverse industries in the U.S., China, Thailand and
Indonesia.
Background & Qualifications
Dr. Chan holds a Law degree (LL.B) with top
honors from the University of Malaya, a MBA
in Corporate Strategy & Finance, and a
Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University
of Texas at Austin.
Among other honours, Dr. Chan received the
Outstanding Young Man of America Award "
in recognition of his outstanding professional
achievement, superior leadership ability and
exceptional service to the community."
He has won a FULBRIGHT AWARD and has been
granted the Distinguished International Scholar
Award by Phi Beta Delta (the International
Honor Society) for his extensive contribution
to international business. He is listed in
Who's Who Among Outstanding Young Men of America,
Who's Who Among Asian Americans, and Who's
Who Among Global Leaders.
He is fluent in multiple languages including
English, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, and some
Thai.
