Gordon Reiss
Gordon has 50 years of experience in international business,
working for both giant multinational corporations and small
start-up firms. He has founded or co-founded four entrepreneurial
manufacturing and marketing companies. He has lived in 9 foreign
countries and managed operations in 42 countries on 5 continents.
He has also written 2 books, "Franchising: Case
Studies" and "Studi Banding Bisnis
Waralaba" (in the Indonesian language). His latest
book, "Doing Business in Post-WTO China",
is in the process of completion.
Experience
For the past 20 years, Gordon has been a director, senior executive,
or consultant to young entrepreneurial enterprises. He has served
on the boards of various industrial, service, and non-profit
organizations, including two American colleges and a European
business school. He frequently lectures and conducts seminars
at industry, professional, academic, and government conferences
and conventions.
Background & Qualifications
Gordon began his career with Ford Motor Company, rising to
the position of a division General Manager for Europe. Subsequently,
he was International Vice President of International Paper
Company, in charge of Europe and the Middle East.
Gordon received his BA degree in Economics & Business
Administration from Whitman College, and his MBA degree cum
laude from the Harvard Business School.
